Would you try to reach out to someone and fix a relationship if you knew you were dying?
Why not start before that happens?
It’s a better way to live.
Stay well,
Heike

Hi Heike ???? The first thing that came up in my thoughts regarding your question was the book called Sacred Contracts, by Caroline Myss. Some relationships in our lives were meant to reach a conclusion at a certain time etc. For myself I would give thanks for that special person (maybe a lesson was learned thus you both move on?) being there for me. Too much in the book to explain it all!

Hi Sheela, Thanks so much for your excellent comment. Absolutely, you are right. Sometimes people are in our lives for a short time and sometimes we journey together for many years. I too give thanks for those who have been in my life and no longer are. Gratitude rocks. The question was to inspire people to reach out and resolve past issues. I’ve heard too many stories of regret where people didn’t reach out, didn’t know someone was ill, or wished they’d not let something petty ruin an otherwise good relationship. It’s sad when this happens because it’s avoidable (a little uncomfortable, but avoidable). Making peace with a relationship whatever it may be or cease to be is where we all want to be. Stay well, Heike
